Dr Erin Seeto

 

Originally from Scotland, Dr Erin Seeto, is a warm and empathic Clinical and Counselling Psychologist. Erin completed her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in London before relocating to Sydney. Erin has experience providing evidence based psychological interventions to individuals with complex comorbid mental health difficulties. Erin’s professional areas of interest include; perinatal mental health, women’s health, identity, attachment, grief/ loss and adjustment across the lifespan.

 

Erin currently works in private practice and purpose driven organisations. Erin also has experience in working in public health, education, local government and hospital settings.

Erin has experience working integratively utilising interventions such as systemic approaches, psychodynamic theory and principals, narrative approaches, person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and psychotherapeutic models. Committed to continued professional development, Erin has completed additional qualifications, participated in a diverse range of training opportunities and receives specialist case supervision in order to broaden her clinical skills. Erin has also facilitated numerous training and development opportunities for mental health practitioners, conducted research and discussed perinatal mental health in mainstream media platforms.

 

As a registered psychologist Erin abides by the guidelines of ethical conduct set by AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). As a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the governing body for professional psychologists, Erin satisfies the requirements of the APS Code of ethical conduct.

  • Master of Science (MSc) in Social Work Studies – University of Stirling, UK.
  • Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc Hons) Psychology – University of Dundee, UK.
